The Journey to Success: First Year Residential Experience program is a unique living option designed for incoming freshman females who live in North Hall Complex – East. This living learning environment is specifically designed to meet the needs of the first year student. Our goal in this program is not only to assist students with the transition from high school to college, but to foster growth in the areas of character, scholarship, and leadership. Participants will benefit from this program through increased access to faculty and staff, programming related to transition issues, community service opportunities, and a peer mentor relationship. Each student assigned to live in NHC – East will automatically be enrolled in this program and will be given a peer mentor (a.k.a. Journey Mentor) who resides in NHC – West. This Journey Mentor will serve as a guide, resource, big sister, and friend throughout the first year.
